The Master Bedroom

My condo’s master bedroom is a totally decent size, with one big window and a “walk thru closet” to the en suite bathroom.

When I first moved in, it was the same builder beige as the rest of my place:

Unfortunately, with painting the living room, I didn’t have time to paint the bedrooms before moving in. So, I just moved in all of my old furniture. As you can see, my previous apartment had a preppy pink pinstriped theme.

Then, we were able to paint. I chose Olympic One’s Flagstone from Lowe’s. It was a bit of a bold choice but I’m so glad I did!

I also took the opportunity of having to move all my furniture to paint to rearrange the bed’s placement so that we would have better access to the window.

Next, you can see, I simply changed out my bedding & rearranged some furniture:

Here’s what’s next on the agenda:

  • paint the walls
  • upgrade to a king sized bed with yellow or light grey linens
  • get matching bedside tables and lamps
  • add a bench under the window
  • redo the closet systems and convert one to an accessories closet
  • replace the lighting in the closet walkway with track lighting
  • add a framed full length mirror
  • update the vanity and vanity stool
  • add curtains
  • hang artwork on either side of the bed
  • mount a TV across from the bed
  • put a sassy rug in the walk thru closet
